SWEET DERBYSHIRE VILLAGE HALL WEDDING – MICHAELA AND DAVE

Michaela and Dave got married in Spring in the quirky Claypole Village Hall. They had their ceremony at the Holy Trinity, which is their the local church. It was such a fun day and the sun even made an appearance!

The excitement before the wedding

Michaela got ready at her house which she share’s with Dave,, and the atmosphere was so relaxed. The bride handed out some of her home made cake and everybody was in wonderful spirits. The wedding party then rode the short distance to get to the ceremony.

The vows

The ceremony was a beautiful service in their local church at Newark. surrounded by colourful stained glass windows and the smiles. During the ceremony they had several beautiful readings from friends and family. It was such a personal service and really fun.

After the ceremony

The reception was in a beautiful room at Claypole Village Hall. They chose the venue because it’s so cosy and they could totally personalise it. It was a vintage style wedding, which hit all the right notes between fancy and relaxed. I love shooting vintage style weddings because the decor is so pretty.

They had a cocktail drinks reception in the afternoon, and swinging dance floor in the evening. I loved their personalised cocktails and the music was amazing. They decorated the venue with bunting and flowers, because it was a Spring wedding. I thought the Orange Tree did a fantastic job once again of decor and food to keep everybody warm in the chilly weather.

For dinner they had burgers, which was loved by all the guests. I’ll certainly never say no to a good burger! The first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going, and they finished off the evening with a sparkler exit. The highlight being Dave hoisted into the air by his best men! The funniest part of the day was when Dave’s friends pointed out that he may in fact dance like a Sim, and he promptly demonstrated, because the moves were so hilariously bad everybody joined him!

The couple

Michaela and Dave’s day was so much fun and everything I love about weddings. Here’s their gorgeous pictures!
