A RUSTIC BARN, GLITTER AND PARTYING

Rose and Mike got married in summer at the rustic Alveston Pastures, which is a stunning barn in Stratford upon Avon. They had their ceremony at Hampton Lucy, which was their the local church. It was such a happy day!

The excitement before the wedding

Rose got ready in Stratford upon Avon, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. The whole family was not only in anticipation of the wedding but also of Rose’s oldest niece returning from her 11+ exam, so nerves were palatable! The bride then rode the short trip to get to the ceremony. Mike got ready nearby and then headed to the church with his groomsmen, stopping for a quick drink on the way.

The ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service at a stunning church in Stratford Upon Avon. The stone church and archways made the light inside incredible, almost spotlighting Rose as she walked up the aisle. During the ceremony they had a beautiful reading. It was such a personal service and so meaningful.

The party

The reception was in a barn at Alveston Pastures. They chose the venue because it’s so cosy and relaxed and they just fell in love with it. It was a summer wedding, which meant everybody was drinking cocktails on the lawn. I love shooting barn weddings because it’s always so pretty. The flowers and twinkly lights they chose were especially beautiful and complemented the setting perfectly.

For dinner they had a roast, which was gobbled down in seconds by everyone. They had a live band in the evening, and Rose had laid out a glitter bar for guests to get their disco looks on for the dance floor! The first dance involved the wedding party getting the dancing going, and they finished off the evening with a hog roast.

The most fun part of the day was when Rose’s mum thew the giant Jenga bricks onto the fire pit to keep it going, because it made everyone laugh.
