Entire Agreement: This agreement contains the entire understanding between the Clients and the Photographer.

The booking fee is due on signing this agreement with the balance of the amount due thirty days before the date of the wedding. Upon completion and sending the document, the Photographer will reserve the time and date agreed upon, and will not make other reservations for that time and date. For this reason, an initial payment of £350 is non-refundable, even if the date is changed or the wedding cancelled for any reason; including acts of God, fire, strike and/or extreme weather. The initial payment is to be paid at time of signing the contract. The initial payment is applied towards the contracted wedding photography package. Payment for albums or additional album photographs, prints & frames is made after the wedding at the time of ordering.

Cooperation: The Clients and the Photographer consent to happily cooperating and communicating with each other to achieve the best possible result within the understanding of this contract. The Clients also agree to give the Photographer sufficient warning of key events at the wedding to give the Photographer time to prepare e.g. Bouquet throwing, cutting the cake, speeches etc.

The Schedule: The Photographer’s shooting schedule, style of working and experience are designed to achieve a great set of wedding photos for the Clients, accomplished with good humour and enjoyed by all concerned. Both the Clients and the Photographer therefore agree that punctuality and cheerful co-operation are essential to producing outstanding photographic results. In cases where the wedding does not run on time (for example, extreme lateness by one of the Clients arriving to the church) I cannot guarantee to take the normal set of photos although in such circumstances I will do my absolute best to compensate.

House Rules: Note the Photographer is sometimes limited by rules imposed by registrars, ministers and venue management as to what can and cannot be done. For example some ministers insist that no photography is allowed, and others will insist that the Photographers shoot from a specific location. In such circumstances the Clients agree to accept the technical limitations that may be imposed on the equipment used.We advise the Clients to make themselves aware of the rules of the venue concerned and if necessary negotiate with the personnel concerned.

Copyright Law: The copyright of photographs remains with the Photographer. The Photographer grants the Client permission to make unlimited copies and prints of the images under the following conditions. The images taken by the Photographer are for personal use by the Client and their friends and relatives. Sale, Publication or any Commercial use of the photographs is not allowed without prior written permission from the Photographer.
The Client must obtain written permission from, and compensate the Photographer prior to an event where the Client, the Client’s friends or relatives publish or sell the photographs for profit.

Exclusivity: Kate Lowe shall be the sole professional (still) photographer(s) at the venues specified. I do however positively encourage family, friends, and other guests to take photographs throughout the day.

Model Release: The Client hereby grants the Photographer and its legal representatives, the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish photographs of the Client or in which the Client may be included for editorial, trade, advertising or any other purpose and in any manner and/or medium considered standard by the wedding industry. Such mediums/purposes include, but are not limited to: advertising, internet promotion, photographic contests, public displays, photography books, wedding blogs, studio display, sample wedding albums, and any other use thought proper by the Photographer and considered standard by the wedding industry.

Limit of Liability: If a photographer is too ill or becomes injured and cannot supply the wedding services specified above the Photographer will try to book a replacement wedding photographer. If in the unlikely event a replacement photographer cannot be found then liability is limited to a refund of any payments received. The Photographer has working methods in place to prevent loss or damage to your images. However, there is the very unlikely possibility that images may be lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons in or beyond my control. In these circumstances liability is limited to the return of fees paid for the service or part thereof according to the percentage of images supplied. The Photographer has full Public Liability, and Professional Indemnity Insurance.

Completion Scedule: Digital processing takes approximately 2 weeks for engagement sessions and 6 weeks for weddings. When the Photographer is finished processing the client’s photos, the finished high resolution JPEGS or ‘digital negatives’ will be uploaded to an online gallery and/or delivered to the Client according to the specifics of the Client’s purchased photography package.
