RAINY WEDDING AT BORDESLEY PARK // HOLLY AND PERRY

“I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you!! The photos are bloody amazing…we love them and we are so excited to show them all to our family and friends. We had a right old blabbing session last night reliving the day, it’s just wonderful to look back on them. We will cherish these forever!! You were so wonderful. We are kind of lost for words, don’t really know how to thank you enough. Just in awe!!”

Holly and Perry got married in spring at the beautiful Bordesley Park, which is a stunning country house in Birmingham. They had their ceremony at St Mary Magdalene Church in Solihull, which was the perfect setting. It was the most beautiful wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!

Getting ready, getting set

Holly and her bridesmaids got ready at Haye Pastures Cottages, and the atmosphere was full of excitement. She included a picture of her late father on her bouquet and calmly dealt with a last minute dress malfunction, nothing fazes this bride!! They then all piled into a super cute VW bus to the ceremony.

The vows

The ceremony was a beautiful service in a nearby church in Solihull. During the ceremony they had a choir perform. It was so beautiful and emotional!

After the ceremony

The reception was in a marquee at Bordesley Park. They chose the venue because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. It was a pretty, vintage style wedding, which always goes well with a country house in the summer. I love shooting country house weddings because the photo ops are endless. I thought this particular house was very beautiful, and the grounds and views were fantastic.

They had a live singer in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. They decorated the venue with bunting and tealights, because they wanted to keep it simple, and vintage photos of friends and family, along with a sweetie table for the younger guests!

The most memorable part of the day was when it bucketed down with rain and everyone got soaked during the confetti exit, because the couple just embraced the weather and whipped out the brollies! I love couples who don’t let the good old English weather put a dampener on their day. They do say its lucky, a wet knot is much harder to untie!

The couple

Holly and Perry’s wedding was so much fun and just the happiest occasion. Here’s their awesome wedding!
